Munib Rashid al-Masri is the richest and one of the most influential Palestinians in the Palestinian Territories, but he is also one of the most influential. The 80-years old businessman, politician and philanthropist is a member of the Palestine Legislative Council and former Jordanian Cabinet Minister. Munib Rashid al-Masri, who was earlier a close confidante of former Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat, has over the last few years focused on two goals: reconciling the Palestinians, and making peace with Israel.
