Dr Michael Willis is H.M. King Mohammed VI Fellow in Moroccan and Mediterranean Studies at St Antony's College, Oxford University. His research interests focus on the politics, modern history and international relations of the Maghreb. He is author of ‘The Islamist Challenge in Algeria: A Political History’ and is currently writing a book on the comparative politics of Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco.
